The 2011 best of small-town America survey sponsored by Rand McNally in collaboration with USA TODAY reviewed more than 600 towns. Five teams went on a three-week cross-country trip to visit the nominated towns. Uniontown was named one of the most beautiful towns in Washington's state.
Uniontown is a small rural town at the geographic center of an urban region with Pullman, Washington and Moscow, Idaho 15 to 16 miles north and Lewiston, Idaho and Clarkston, Washington 14 to 16 miles south. This location provides the amenities, benefits and activities found in both rural and urban communities.
